Complete Racing Suspension

The Trophy chassis uses a full racing suspension that can be adjusted and refined for any type of terrain, any type of driver. It's fully adjustable and equipped with turnbuckles, optional suspension mounts, ride height clips, multiple shock mount locations, camber link options, sway bars and more. You'll be knocking out fast laps times quick and easy!

Dual Disc Brakes
Bringing everything to a fast and controlled stop are a pair of vented steel disc brakes. You've got to control the power of the monster Nitro Star F3.5 engine, and separate front and rear disc brakes are perfect for controlling the car in the tight and twisty areas of the track. With independent adjustments you can set the car to brake harder on the front or rear, as well as adjust the overall 'bite' of the brakes.

Low Centre of Gravity
Supreme handling comes from many sources, but one of the most important is having an extremely low Centre of Gravity, or 'CG' as it's known in racing. A low CG means you can corner harder, going faster through the turns than the next guy. The CG of the Trophy 3.5 is as low as we could get it, making it fast and reactive when cornering, allowing you to cut to the inside and steal victory!

RC guys and girls who like to 'bash' around love their huge engines and big air, but when it comes to organized racing just about every club has a maximum engine size: .21 cubic inches or 3.5 cubic centimeters (3.5cc). This is where the awesome F3.5 engine comes into play! The Nitro Star F3.5 has 2.5 horsepower waiting for you at the pull of the trigger! It's the perfect match for the Trophy package, with its subdued black CNC-machined heatsink head, finned aluminium case, composite-body slide carburettor and full range of tuning adjustments to let you tune it for all weather and track conditions.

On the inside, the F3.5 has true ABC construction, with a chrome-plated brass piston and cylinder surrounded by the lightweight aluminium case. To get you going quickly, the F3.5 uses a pullstarter system, and a large opening on the underside of the chassis allows you to utilise a starter box for even faster engine starting. If you want to upgrade to easier engine starting, just install the #87130 HPI Roto Start 2 engine starting system for push-button engine starting!

ELECTRONICS

Ook bij deze HPI is de grootste verandering het feit dat de auto nu met een 2.4 GHz besturing uitgerust is.

Dat betekent een enorme reikwijdte, vrijwel geen kans op / last van storing, en een ingebouwd failsafe systeem voor het geval de auto buiten bereik zou komen.

Een aparte failsafe hoef je er dus niet meer bij gebruiken.

BENODIGDHEDEN OM DEZE AUTO HELEMAAL RIJKLAAR TE MAKEN:

Deze auto is nog niet gebruiksklaar, er zijn nog diverse zaken nodig om er mee te kunnen rijden, zoals een gloeiplug driver (nodig om te kunnen starten), brandstof en een vulfles, maar ook zijn er nog 8 AA penlites nodig voor in de zender en 4 AA penlites voor in de auto om de ontvanger en servo's van stroom te voorzien.
Wij bieden diverse sets aan om je auto gebruiksklaar te kunnen maken, welke bij aanschaf van een Nitro auto voor een speciale setprijs meegeleverd kunnen worden.

Wat je in ieder geval nodig hebt is een start set, bestaande uit een gloeiplug driver met accu en lader, een blik brandstof en een fles waarmee je de brandstof in de tank kunt doen.
Bovendien zijn er nog wat handige dingen aan te raden, zoals omschreven hieronder.

De ontvanger en de ontvanger accu zijn netjes weggeborgen in een afgesloten box. Om de ontvanger accu op te laden, moet je dan de box openmaken, de ontvanger en de accu er uit halen, de stekkers uit de ontvanger trekken, en die aansluiten op de lader. Na het laden, moet je alles weer aansluiten en in de box wegwerken, en de box weer afsluiten. makkelijker is om de volgende schakelaar met laad-aansluiting er bij te nemen, dan hoef je niets anders te doen dan de lader op de laadaansluiting van de schakelaar aan te sluiten en na het laden weer los te nemen.

aan/uit schakelaar voor een nitro auto, met extra laadplug aansluiting waar je direct de lader op aan kunt sluiten zonder iets los te halen. Speciaal handig voor auto's waarbij de ontvanger en accu in een radio box opgeborgen is. Deze versie is van stekkers voorzien welke op alle zender/ontvanger systemen passen

Er is wel een klein probleempje wat laden betreft: bij de startset zit wel een lader waarmee o.a. ook vrijwel alle merken zenders opgeladen kunnen worden, maar de standaard HPI zender heeft geen aansluiting voor een lader. Deze kun je er wel vrij makkelijk inbouwen als je kunt solderen ( of iemand kent die dat kan)
Wil of kun je dat niet, dan kun je ook de losse penlite lader nemen. daarmee kun je 4 penlites voor de zender tegelijk laden ( je moet er 8 doen, dus het gaat wel in twee sessies)

PK100321	Inbouw laad aansluiting voor zenders	€ 4.95
Laadplug aansluiting om in te bouwen in een zender, zodat de accu's geladen kunnen worden zonder ze uit de zender te nemen. De meeste zenders zijn al voorzien van zo'n aansluiting, maar sommige standaard zenders nog niet. Dit soort zenders zijn vrij probleemloos open te maken, er zit niets ingewikkelds in. Vaak zit de mogelijkheid om zo'n aansluiting te monteren er al wel in, anders moet je op een geschikte plaats even een gaatje maken waar de connector in gemonteerd kan worden. Met inbouw instructie's en beveiligings diode, je moet wel kunnen solderen. Deze aansluiting maakt gebruik van dezelfde stekker als de zenders van bv. Futaba, Hitec, Ko, Accoms etc. Bijpassende laadkabel met bananenstekkers is de PKL201.

Als laatste nog even: in geval van storing of lage accu spanning, of buiten bereik komen van de zender, zal de auto er vol gas vandoor gaan, zonder dat je daar nog wat aan kunt doen. Een Fail save is een electronisch apparaatje wat in die gevallen de controlle over de gasservo overneemt, en de auto stil zet. kan je heel wat schade en erger besparen.

QLC1002S	MICRO FAIL SAFE	€ 19.95
UNIEKE PRIJS/KWALITEIT VERHOUDING! Super kleine Micro Failsafe (let op de verhouding tot de ontvanger stekker), eenvoudig met 1 druk op de knop in te stellen . Afm. 33x13x7mm, gewicht +/- 5 gram! Makkelijk aan te sluiten: de gas/rem servo stekker gaat in de failsafe, en de stekker van de failsafe gaat in de ontvanger i.p.v. de gasservo stekker. Daarna wordt de fail safe eenmalig ingesteld door op de set knop te drukken. Vanaf dat moment beschermt de fail safe je auto tegen dure schades door op hol slaan ingeval van storing of buiten bereik van de zender raken, door in dat geval de gasservo in de remstand te zetten. Waarschuwt ook bij een te lage ontvanger accu spanning. Een fail safe mag eigenlijk in geen enkele RC auto ontbreken!
